States that Allow Online Food Stamp Applications

The Food Stamp Program (SNAP) has gone high-tech in many states. The Internet has allowed us to have the ability to do almost anything from home. In many states, the Internet will allow for people to apply for food stamps online.

The online food stamp application system has made it much easier for people to apply for food stamp benefits (SNAP benefits), partially because it has taken some of the embarrassing sting that some people feel when applying for public assistance, and because it has literally made it more convenient for some people with physical disabilities, and lack of adequate transportation to apply for SNAP benefits (food stamp benefits).

Here is a list of the current states which will allow for online food stamp application. More states will follow, and this list will be updated as the information becomes available:

California (1) - Delaware - Nebraska - Florida - New Jersey - West Virginia - Georgia - Massachusetts Virginia - Indiana (2) - Pennsylvania - Washington - Iowa - Rhode Island - Wisconsin - Kansas - Tennessee - Maryland - Texas (3)

(1) Only some counties allow California Food Stamp applications to be completed online. CLICK HERE to find out which counties will allow for an online California Food Stamp Application.

(2) Only some counties allow Indiana Food Stamp applications to be completed online. CLICK HERE to find out which counties will allow for an online Indiana Food Stamp Application.

(3) Only residents of Travis, Hays, & Williamson counties (first time food stamp applicants only) may apply online for Texas Food Stamps.
